Food Truck: A New Emerging Business in Food Industry

A lot many Hospitality enthusiasts are trying their hands in entrepreneurship. Students who study hotel management course in the initial phase go for working in hotels and restaurants. With gained experience and knowledge over time, most of the hoteliers who are interested in perusing their own business, are entering into establishing the trending mobile business such as Food Truck, Food Cart, Trailer, Kiosk, etc.

With this vision and thought many restaurants and bakery joints have opened their own mobile trucks which are helping them with better marketing targets and merchandising. Generally the owners of food trucks sell comfort food or street food in their trucks. They park their truck in the busiest areas and their business reaches its peak during the office lunch break. With simplistic menu created and presented differently with reasonable cost is what food trucks aim to serve. The major food products that are sold on food trucks are different types of Sandwiches, Wraps, Salads, Burgers and Hotdogs, Chinese Food Items, etc. People from all over the globe have come up with different ideas in Food Truck business. For instance, a truck selling Pork (pig’s meat) has customized the food truck in design of a pig to attract a lot of clients.


The owners of the food trucks use social media to promote their business. They keep on changing their places from one place to another and put everything on Twitter or Facebook about their location so that their followers can know where the food truck is. It is getting very popular day by day as the food lovers get their favorite food near their work place, where the food quality is as good as a good fine dining food joints.
